NOVAdance

Worked four years in different roles as part of NOVAdance, a student run fundraising organization that fight pediatric cancer through The Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation. NOVAdance and The B+ Foundation raise money to fund research into new treatments for pediatric cancer and providing financial assistance to families dealing with the financial hardship that accompanies pediatric cancer. As of this writing, NOVAdance is paired with 13 Heroes (kids who have or are battling pediatric cancer) and their families. NOVAdance pairs each Hero with an organization on campus and provides a safe space for them and their siblings to simply be kids again. My penultimate role was as HR Director with four teams and over 700 people under management. Teams included general involvement (Morale Committee), freshmen leadership program (Sidekicks), Family Outreach Program (Family Relations & Hero Liaison Program) and Internal Relations Committee. Primary responsibilities included project management, fundraising, increasing on-campus awareness, general outreach and organizational planning for all aspects of NOVAdance committee.
