SAPIENS: A Brief History of Humankind - Yuval Noah Harari

A great read for anyone interested in understanding how we came from a small group of Apes to the most dominant species in our planet's history. A very satisfying an convincing challenge on how I view life, humanity and human community.

The Undoing Project - Michael Lewis

A very gripping story that follows the extraordinary lives of Israeli Psychologists Amos Tversky and Daniel Kahneman. It highlights both the personal stories and the ground breaking work they contributed to both psychology and behavioral economics.

Some Assembly Required - Neil Shubin - Currently Reading

On the remarkable process of evolution.

Among the Thugs - Bill Buford

A journalistic inquiry into the football (soccer) "hooligan" culture that was pervasive in Europe in the 1980s and 90s. Bill Buford immerses himself in football culture in an unsettling look into a culture based in pride, team identity, and violence. A gripping mix of psychology and football history with an intimate personal commentary.

Astrophysics for People in a Hurry - Neil DeGrasse Tyson

A fun introduction to many basic concepts in astrophysics. Tyson keeps the information easy to digest and simple to read, focusing on the 30,000 foot view of complex topics. A good introductory read for anyone interested in the nature of the universe.

Humankind: Solidarity with Non-Human People - Timothy Morton

Humankind is a conceptually dense critique on society's perception and interaction with non-human life. Acts also as a critique of traditional communism thought which requires lots of prior knowledge. I much different read than I was expecting when I picked up the book, and certainly difficult to follow at times, but very intellectually stimulating.
